Activate currently supports integration with the following identity providers to enable identity lifecycle automation and access management.

### Microsoft Active Directory

Microsoft Active Directory (AD) is supported for on-premises identity and Hybrid management scenarios. Activate can connect to AD to perform a range of identity and access management tasks, including:

- Provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts 
- Managing group memberships 
- Updating user attributes 
- Executing identity-related automation workflows 

This support is ideal for organisations maintaining traditional on-premises infrastructure or hybrid environments.

### Microsoft Entra ID

Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) is supported for cloud-based identity management. Activate integrates with Entra ID to perform a range of identity and access management tasks, including:

- Provisioning and deprovisioning cloud identities 
- Managing group and role assignments 
- Updating user and directory attributes 
- Supporting modern authentication and cloud-first environments 

This enables seamless automation for organisations operating in Microsoft 365 and other cloud ecosystems.

### Notes

- Both identity providers can be used in hybrid configurations where required. 
- Configuration prerequisites and setup steps vary depending on the provider and environment.
