All Activate objects have some predefined properties. These properties are available in script and via Activate expressions.

| **Name**           | **Type**               | **Description**                                                                                         |
| ------------------ | ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Id                 | Integer                | This is the internal identifier of the object. This value does never changes for any particular object. |
| Name               | String                 | The name of the object                                                                                  |
| Description        | String                 | The description of the object as provided by the Administrator                                          |
| Parent             | ProvisioningObject     | The parent object of the current object.                                                                |
| SubItems           | ProvisioningCollection | The list of sub-items of the current object.                                                            |
| Path               | String                 | The path of the current object. (ie //Roles/Departments/Finance)                                        |
| InternalPath       | String                 | The internal path of the current object. (ie //Roles/1/3/2456)                                          |
| SecurityDescriptor | SecurityDescriptor     | The Security Descriptor that is securing the object.                                                    |
