Access to Web Studio in Activate is controlled through system roles. Users must be assigned the appropriate role to access the Studio interface.

To grant a user read-only access to Web Studio:

If the role does not exist, create it under 

Out of the box, users in this role do not have manage rights.

This allows access to view Web Studio without the ability to make changes.

Read-only access is achieved by granting access via role membership only, without additional permissions.

A User Type is a template in Activate that defines rules, attributes, and behaviours for a category of users (e.g., Employee, Contractor), ensuring consistent user account setup and configuration.
