Activate includes an updated **Password Reset Credential Provider** to ensure full compatibility with modern Windows display scaling and **High DPI screens**.

Microsoft introduced changes to how Credential Providers render on high-resolution displays. Without this update, some UI elements may appear slightly off-screen or misaligned. Users can still use the provider, but the layout may not display correctly.

- Full support for **High DPI screens** on Windows 10 and higher. 
- Improved rendering of text and form fields on scaled displays. 
- Enhanced user experience and visual consistency across screen resolutions. 

# Compatibility

- Supported on **Windows 10 or later**. 
- No longer supports **Windows 8**, which is out of Microsoft support. 

If your environment still includes Windows 8 systems, continue using the **previous Credential Provider** version.

The updated Credential Provider is **backwards compatible** with the **Password Web Service** used in earlier Activate releases. It can be safely deployed for users running **High DPI screens** even if your backend remains on an earlier version.
