issue the activateapppool stops the first time someone accesses the activate web portal, and a 503 error is shown to troubleshoot this error, follow the following steps steps 1\ on the activate server, open the event viewer and view the logs under windows logs \ security 2\ review the warnings and errors for the was service as shown in the above error log, the identity of the activateapppool is invalid the log is indicating that user may not have batch logon rights this is normally caused by a group policy setting that removes these rights from the account or all accounts to fix this, the customer will need to get the activate web service ad account excluded from the policy that is removing the batch logon rights the issue may also be an incorrect password for the ad account that is configured for the activate app pool reset this password and re enter it on the app pool identity
