# Can the search box be hidden in a Web Instance grid?

Yes. The search box can be hidden by disabling header search on the grid control.

In the relevant Web.Instance.List configuration, locate the grid control (for example **ServiceInstanceList**, **DirectoryEntryList**, or another control derived from Activate web grid components) and set the following property:

- **EnableHeaderSearch** = False
